Any of you familiar with these? Without google-fu, of course!

The local bus company uses these for individual and special mobility needs transport.

It’s a very slick ride, actually.

MV-1. Built specifically as a way to move people in wheelchairs/purpose built taxi. I believe it has a Ford 4.6 V8 up front?
I also think the company is dead.

Awesome idea. I wonder if the owner would let me take it for a few days for an oppo review...

I rode in one in Chicago as a taxi a couple of times, crazy amounts of legroom and very smooth (probably because it weighs as much as an armored personnel carrier).
There’s a used car lot near me that has one for sale for around $5500, but with 226,000 miles. I was sorta interested, but not really, I’d expect its lead a rough life.

I thought the same thing first time I saw one.
Not a bad idea too bad it didn't take off. Those jacked up minivans for the disabled don't look safe.

I see these pretty regularly. Most US oppos, other than my posts and the one Jalopnik post, probably have not.

How can that be? The MV4 is FWD, IINM, and uses a Ford V6 engine.

MV-1. I hadn’t seen one in years until Monday when one cruised through my apartment parking lot.

I’m surprised you haven’t noticed them before. There was a private transport service in the Seattle area that had a bunch of them (may have gone out of business, haven’t seen them since 2017) , and I’ve seen a handful with King County Metro livery, too.

The MV-1 was a nice idea, but my impression when it came out was that in execution, it wasn’t as good as a well-done van minivan conversion.

Pretty sure it’s a Tartan Prancer. It’s like the Honda of Albania.

I've sat in one, and I meant to test drive one, but life's gotten in the way. I should soon though

I remember seeing these in the back lot of the Chevy dealer while getting our NPR serviced, and just trying to figure out what the fuck I was looking at.
